Greenfields is an independent day & boarding school for children aged 2-18 years. We are located on the edge of the Ashdown Forest, surrounded by plenty of fresh air, beautiful scenery, and plenty of natural environment to enjoy! Established in 1981, Greenfields School aims to provide an education that prepares our students for life, where study seems desirable, and the world of knowledge is open to them.Â
To provide an education that teaches its students to think and has fostered their self-determinism and initiative and where their individuality, knowingness, native ambitions, intelligence, ability, and drive have been preserved, and where their basic purpose has been increased and reinforced, all to achieve a high level of survival in life, where they can accomplish the actions of their chosen profession, professionally.
To help us achieve this aim we make use of ‘Study Technology’ throughout the school and curriculums. More about Study Technology is described here: https://greenfieldsschool.com/study-technology/ Every teacher at Greenfields undergoes training on Study Technology as part of their induction. The students themselves are introduced to Study Technology on a gradient as they progress up through the School.
Greenfields is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and all staff, volunteers and other third parties are expected to share this commitment. The School adopts a safer recruitment process which is adhered to in the appointment of all new members of staff and is designed to help deter, reject or identify people who may cause harm to children or who are otherwise unsuited to work with them.
As part of the safer recruitment process, all applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including, but not limited to, checks with past employers and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
