Summer Fair

On a surprisingly fine Saturday afternoon in July during the fabled Gala Weekend at Greenfields, the traditional Summer Fair unpacked itself and welcomed parents, friends and students in.

There were lots of good food and games, brilliantly organised by our Parents’ and Teachers’ Association under the wise guidance of Claire Loré.

Attractions included:

• an organic barbecue, with food that really did taste better and more wholesome
• a spectacular array of delicious cakes
• a talent show to rival that of X Factor on television (we really do have some amazing talent in the school – watch out Simon Cowell!)
• superlatively professional car-washing
• a treasure hunt
• the usual challenging quiz (this year rather suspiciously won by the Head Teacher)
• many and varied craft stalls
• and the regular tug-of-war contests (pictured).

£1000 was raised for the new Computer Project at Greenfields – bringing us very much closer to the next large item, another interactive whiteboard, this time to service the whole school!
