Religion,
Values and Standards
Greenfields has one of the most culturally diverse student bodies
of any school in the south of England with Buddhists, Jews, Muslims,
Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Scientologists, Evangelists and Hindus
in our numbers. It is not a requirement that staff be of any particular
religion or culture when they join staff at the school. All are
trained in the materials appropriate to their job and in the case
of teachers this includes the study methods that we use so that
they can apply it appropriately in the classroom.
In this world of growing technology we feel it is important that
children are aware of the spiritual nature of man and practice religious
tolerance. We are nondenominational and welcome children of all
faiths. Being an international school, one of our great joys is
seeing children from many countries and various religious and ethnic
backgrounds, forming lasting friendships. With growing respect and
tolerance comes an understanding of every individuals right to their
own culture and religion.
Greenfields teaches a non-religious moral code as a foundation
for successful living - The Way To Happiness developed by L. Ron
Hubbard, noted educator, humanitarian and philosopher. This moral
code does not conflict with any of the major religions. A copy of
The Way to Happiness booklet is freely available upon request.
