At Greenfields our students in Years 3 to 9 take part in the prestigious Prince William Award.
The Prince William Award helps young people build their character, resilience and confidence to empower them to “be their best”.
At the heart of this aspiration are brilliant instructors, the majority of whom have served their country in the British Armed Forces. These ‘heroes in schools’ embody the Service values and understand the importance of teamwork, resilience and self-discipline.
An instructor delivers this programme every other week and offers a structured curriculum featuring facilitated workshops and community projects.
The 5 key themes which are prevalent enable young people to develop an understanding of their individual character, their character within a team and develop leadership and responsibility.
The Award is delivered at three different levels, Pioneer from the age of 6 years old, Explorer from the age of 8 years old and Trailblazer from the age of 12 years old, each appropriate for a broad age range.
