Educational Trust (a registered charity)
Greenfields was founded in 1981 and in 1983 moved to its present
location. At that time, the Greenfields Educational Trust, a registered
charity, was set up to manage the school.
Greenfields is a private, independent school, which accepts and
welcomes children from all over the world and employs staff of all
races, religious denominations and creeds. In 2000, the Trust set
up the Greenfields HELP Centre in East Grinstead as a community
service, a tutoring and literacy programme for children and adults
in the local area delivered free of charge. HELP stands for Hollywood
(where the Project was started) Education and Literacy Project and
is funded by the Trust and by donations. The Trust also owns and
manages the Children's House nursery in East Grinstead, and frequently
hosts foreign dignitaries interested in learning more about our
unique study methods. As well as these, the Trust has set up the
Effective Education Centre and English Language College in the town
centre to offer individual tutoring and courses based on the school's
study methods to a wider public.
